Who are you guys recommending for classic car insurance?  I have Hagerty's on my other money pit, but continuously receive flyers when ordering parts from Eckler's regarding Vettes, but I threw them away.

Gonna drive Doube T on a cruise type basis and potentially no need to pay State FarmOuch.

Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Vette(s): 1972 conv., sunfire yellow, blk interior, blk vinyl and convertible top. Off frame restoration with American Speed 383 stroker engine producing 500hp plus a 200hp NOS system. MSD ignition. Hooker super competition headers with chambered exhaust.
I've insured my cars with Grundy for the past 20 years. I've had a coupe of claims and have been pleased with their rates, service and their "no hassle" claim service.

I use American Collectors Insurance. They've been excellent to wrok with, but admittedly I've never had to make a claim either.

A friend in the local Corvette club recommended them and said when he needed to make a claim they paid immediately.

i went with grundy. a friend had them so i checked them out. i liked the fact that they say they want you to drive your classic and there are no restrictions like can only be used for car shows and educational purposes. if i were to have an accident i don't want to take a chance on not being covered and i want to drive my car anytime i want. only restrictions are that you can not use it as your primary vehicle or back up vehicle and it has to be garage kept which i would imagine all insurance like these would stipulate. the only other thing off the top of my head is that no one under 25 can drive the car.

I currently have Hagerty, but after checking Grundy's rates I'll be switching since my Hagerty policy is just about up.

No luck,,

Grundy just sent me an email back and sent they wont insure cars newer then 1974 unless it is part of a collection. I guess I should have had them include my daily. Cry They had quoted me 125.00 per year. I am with State Farm now, and it is somewhere near 500 per year.

My neighbor has Condon / Skelly a division of Met Life and says they are really good to deal with. Going to try them next.
