I know it's a long shot here, but I'm still looking for an early model SB HOOD. Going to be modified and painted, so cosmetics are not important. Midwest is best! Let me know what you have . . . . Mike

i should have an extra original 69 sb hood avail in a few weeks if everything works out. the hood has no defects and all hardware will be removed.

Hey Mike. The body shop down the street has a hood from a 78. He's not sure if its from the L82 or L48. I know its in very good shape. I would be glad to check it out and send pics if your interested. Terry

Howard, got a couple of things happenin', but we might have to deal. Although, MS is a L-O-N-G ways off. I am selling my BB hood next week, so I will be "hoodless" (unless something happens PDQ).
Terry, I don't think a 78 is what I need. 
I may be wrong, but methinks only hoods through 72 will fit (and they have to have the "spear" on top). I'll check on that, though, before I have you waste any effort. Thanks for offering.

Thankx for the interest, but I found one and within 60 miles of the house! Managed to pick it up for one Ben Franklin, too! 
Now the custom work begins (427 stinger hood scoop plus minor glass work on the underside) plus new, lockable hood latches (ditch the old latches and cable set-up). My buyer backed out on the BB hood (his transport fell thru). So . . . the BB hood will be available, along with the latch hardware.
