Man,Don't feeel bad I didn't know mine was there, for the first year I owned my 78.then one day at a local cruise in I was talking to another C3 owner about trying to find a jack for mine, and he said did you look under the hide away compartment,HUH ?I pulled it out and there it was,it has never been used, same deal with the spare tire it still has the little rubber nubs sticking out of it,and as far as I know, the original,FACTORY AIR

LOL. Sounds familiar. I had a '70 way back in '79 for two years. Bought my current '71 in 2002. I used to take out the back window and had to leave it home 'cause there just wasn't enough room to carry it. Imagine my surprise when I bought a owners manual in 2003 and it was talking about a drop down shelf to store the window. WHAT!!! Bent over and looked up under there and low and behold....a button!

I know the voices aren't real, but they have some pretty cool ideas...

Vette(s): 1979, Targa Blue (72 Color), Pace Car rear spoiler, L88 hood, Dark blue factory interior, 525HP 406, HD 700R4, 370 gears,Steeroids, composite rear spring, TT IIs wrapped in T/A Radials.

I could use a jack and a spare if someone has them

I'm assuming that the hidden compartmet is the door on the passenger side of te car? No matter, I already had the whole interior out when I did the carpeting...

Thanks

Luke

Yeah, its on the passenger side, but there is an insert in there, like a false bottom. the whole interior compartment pulls out in one piece ,it has some holes around the edge of it ,put your fingers in them and it lifts right out, underneath that is another compartment where the jack is
