Back to square one...without really looking, the tech found the cover that was to be sent to me also had broken tabs...a worthless part. 
He apologized profusely and promises he will remain on the lookout for this cover from other sources he knows. If he wants to maintain a stellar reputation for his company, I'm sure he'll do that for me. So folks...lets start from the beginning looking for this part again!

He manufactures and distributes original style 1953 through 1982 Corvette reproduction parts. He also stock many Original, OEM and NOS parts.
He is a bit to work with but has parts and his on-line catalog has alot of usefull diagrams
