I'm looking for a factory GM Delco AM/FM/CB radio. CBD-40 unit. Not the CBD-10.

No 8 track players please. w/Cassette player is ok, but I prefer just a straight up am/fm w/cb unit.

Must be in nice condition and function properly and priced reasonably.

If I don't find one here by the time Corvette's of Carlisle comes around this fall please disregard this thread.

I'm just looking to go retro on my '81 vette. Plus I'd like to have the convenience of having a CB during long road trips.

Thanks, Sarge

Vette(s): 1978 Silver Anniversary L82 4spd (M21) Red Leather. Pace Car is in the hands of a new caretaker.
I bought a AM FM CB for my '78 last year. The seller, a Vette guy (not a member of C3VR) said it came out of a '78 - '80 caddy but should fit in a Vette. In the pictures it looked identical and the face was the same size and knob offset was the same. It did not fit. I compared it to the 8 track in the other car and the knobs are recessed back on the Vette radio. No way was it going to fit in there. Was not a happy camper. So be careful what someone may try to sell you.

Thanks Rook. I did have that guy send me some close up pics of that radio. It is a little too scrapped up for my likings.

Keep the info coming guy's!!!  I appreciate it.

Sarge...........   I have one, still in my '82.....   They ALL have Cassette, at least for that year......
Mine the CB part does not work (squelch control non-operative)....   I keep debating getting rid of it for something newer as I do NOT have to have all original interior.........   Offers ???????.....
