nothing i know special about this speedo except it is like the wicked witch in the Wizard of Oz "I'm melting".

do you know what happens if you pull the speedo to replace the cable and the grandson places the speedo in carb cleaner (hint) no amount of rincing and drying will replace the melted gears, even the trip reset is melted and now their are no numbers on the face or the odometer.

spoke with Bill yesterday - he agrees my speedo is even too light to be a boat anchor - Bill is looking but he has none avail for sale, seems the 78 thru 82 are the same and if i find one he can change it to a 140mph gauge.
On the bright side it is fun to cruise at unknown speeds (and remember it's not speeding until youre caught.
