I have resoldered the connectors and still have no gages. Turn signal lights work. Guess I need a used dash cluster for my 85. Any out there which partially work for cheap ? I cant afford a rebuilt one yet. Maybe yours partially works but one of the gages does not - it would be better than what I have !

try e-bay i know these clusters arnt cheep at all . however i have seen used ones that work. well atleast the sellers say they do..... much less cost wise.

Vette(s): 87 Red Coupe, not as pretty, had 213G miles, great running engine; got 20-21 around town, 27-28 on hwy; I got to drive a Vette, every day for 6 yrs. It was my first; so now I know what the fuss is all about. (Sold it 2015 for $3000, still ran great.)
You should also check out the instruction videos at www.batee.com, which include a couple on fixing a few of the C4 dash problems many of us have (at least intermittently, ... goes dark, hit a bump, comes back on, ...). I saw a mention in Corvette magazine for April 2013. Good source to keep track of, anyway.

Get the "1984-1989 Corvette Digital Cluster: A Complete Step-by-step Operational and Trouble Shooting Guide" from/by Gordon Killebrew.....it's the best manual you'll find for the cluster. It will take you thru the troubleshooting steps to determine what the problem is, and how to correct it. If that doesn't fix it, then it needs to be replaced/repaired at a specialist place.
