Vette(s): 1971 convertible,375 HP 350ci,Muncie 4-speed,Edelbrock aluminum heads and RPM air-gap manifold,HEI distrubiter - old school mechanical tach drive. LOUD side exhaust!
I agree that 17 - 18k is the high end for a 75 vert - unless it perfect.

75 vettes are the cheapest vette to buy at auctions according to my June 2007 Corvette magazine. If this guy changed his price to $17,000 when you offered the origional $15,000 he ask for it. Tell him to take the car and get lost.

Something has the bad smell of fish. My opinion, Gene Disapprove

Vette(s): 1972 conv., sunfire yellow, blk interior, blk vinyl and convertible top. Off frame restoration with American Speed 383 stroker engine producing 500hp plus a 200hp NOS system. MSD ignition. Hooker super competition headers with chambered exhaust.
Gene,
His asking price wasn't actually $15,000, that was his opening bid on ebay and he didn't change the price to 17k, that is what he has been offered from someone else.

I didn't see this car on ebay until there was only 10 minutes left on the auction. If I had known then what I know now, I would have bid on the car at 15k and he would have been forced to sell because it was a no reserve auction.

Hey guys, I have my 1975 sales literature and it lists 10 standard exterior colors. One of which is Corvette Orange Flame.  I also have a 1975 Orange Flame promo model, so its not rare at all.  Just my 2 cents.

There was 3020 paint code 70 (orange flame) built in 1975. The paint code on the window sticker of this car is 70L orange metallic.

I got the trim tag info today and the paint code is 70L. I'm wondering what's on the trim tag of a orange flame car. It could be that it's the same, which would certainly indicate that this car isn't rare at all.

I'm beginning to smell it too. LOL

Our local corvette guru has faxed the window sticker, trim tag info and ebay description to a friend of his at the NCM in Bowling Green. He just called me and says he's in the process of moving and won't be able to check it out until monday.
