After long hours deliberating we have decided to go ahead and sell our 81 for parts as it is almost completely dismantled in what seems to be a never ending restoration project. If anyone needs any parts from an 81 let me know I most likely have it! Incl. Alloy wheels and Glass tops

Vette(s): 1979, Targa Blue (72 Color), Pace Car rear spoiler, L88 hood, Dark blue factory interior, 525HP 406, HD 700R4, 370 gears,Steeroids, composite rear spring, TT IIs wrapped in T/A Radials.
That's ashame.
Do you really have to sell it? Most regret it after
....

If it has to be done, do you think it would be better to try to sell the project in total? Got any pictures and a list of what was done so far? Maybe we can give you some advice as the best way to recoup your investment...

I need the passenger side glass top for my '81 if its available? Need misc. other parts as well ( can make list ) if, in fact, you do part it out, but I have to agree with LukesVette, I think most regrete it later.

I might be interested in the speedo gauge, steering wheel, and some other goodies including seats if the price plus shipping make it reasonable. Let us know how to proceed if your sure about parting out.

Shoot me a price for the power antennae if it has one. I may ask for "other" things after i check with a friend to see what he might need.I can come and pick up since you are about an hour from me. Tuxblacray 2007-04-15 11:05:23

Always a shame to see a Vette parted out, but I always felt that would be the way to get the most money for it.
I always felt that mine was worth more disassembled than running.

Sounds like the glass tops are sold.
Good luck getting rid of the last 10% of the parts.

I am going to work on getting pictures posted of all the parts that have been requested so far, I'm sure everything is going to need some attention, The Vette had sat outside for about 7 years with bad weather stripping before I purchased it. I have stripped out the interior and started attacking the rust on the floor boards, inside door bottoms and winshield pillars, I have found evidence that it had been wrecked at some point in its life (drivers side winshield pillar has had a new peice welded in, and front half of the car has been repainted) I would love to keep it and continue the project but with a third child on the way I just don't see me being able to get back to it for quite awhile.
