Dave has a point regarding the culture in the 70s. My Dad never had fewer than six mid years in the side yard back in the 70s. He did engine work for the boys. Those guys were always flarin' fenders, glassin' in headlight bezels, square headlights in the facia, and addin' third tail lights. Today that would devalue the car. I personally don't mind the customizing on the mid years. It wouldn't stop me from buying one if the mechanicals were good. To each his own.

I own a 71 and it's the only one in town so it turns heads any way.  With the Daytona mods I was more amazed about the price!  Apart from it being butt ugly.

Mine is a full wide body kit without the extended tail end, not my taste either. The reason I like my car is, it is not like everyone else's, it's different like me. Do what makes you happy, Stock, custom whatever floats your boat.

The ABNORMAL is the price.  I dont mind a modded car but.....  I have seen SPECTACULAR work in heavily modded cars.  But its just not my thing..

I don't think anyone here is saying their opinion is the *only* option. Everyone can voice their likes or dislikes. Personally, I'm not against mods. I do, however, think that thing is as ugly as a Pinto. But that is *my* opinion, which I am entitled to.
