I have to agree with you.  Why butcher a fabulous C2...???  Find a basket case and build it up like Rich Lagasse (The Show Stopper) did a few years ago.  He rescued a doomed car and put it on the road again.  A much better scenario than killing a solid classic IMHO.

I tend to agree from the purest standpoint. I hate to see a #'s matching piece of history dismembered.

I simply like the rod version which can be built as a "kit kar" as well. a nice example of that was the 53 rod at FunFest behind the C3VR tent.

In the end it may be about $$$. It appears from the bidding I am not alone where the rodz are concerned. This auction is gonna rival a Barrett - Jackson. 8 bids, 5 days to go, and already over $100K. I bet the folkz at PayPal are hope'n to get a 3% cut off of that...

Vette(s): 1972 conv., sunfire yellow, blk interior, blk vinyl and convertible top. Off frame restoration with American Speed 383 stroker engine producing 500hp plus a 200hp NOS system. MSD ignition. Hooker super competition headers with chambered exhaust.
Did anyone find the performance videos of this car on youtube? If so, please past the URL.
