Hi, everyone. I am looking to purchase a 1970 convertible, preferrably the 350/350 model with tilt-tele wheel. Car can need some minor work but I don't want to do a complete restoration at this point. I recently found an LT1 convertible but it needs a lot of work and it's about 3000 miles away! (I'm in Southern California) Of course, I would love to find a LT1 convertible, but who wouldn't?

Thanks,

Phil Erikson |smile|

Hi, Boatman. I'm still considering whether to go for the LT1, so I can't do that, yet. If I decide not to buy it, I'll let you know.

Vette(s): had a really nice one. sold it to a good friend. Purchased 2004 custom coupe in Feb. 2009 did not tell anyone here until August 2009. BAD I KNOW.
just over a year ago i was lookin' and doing some uneducated research I also wanted a 70 convertible simply because of the low production, for a vette, and was looking for a big block until I heard that the front end weight and the interior heat wasn't a good thing, so I to looked for an LT-1, ones i found were way out of state and with the price of the vette, shipping, and good ole washington sales tax everything i loked at was out of my dollar range. late one night surfing around ran into e-bay about 20 pages of vettes in all stages,7 pages in found a 70 vert LT-1 about 2 1/2 hours away in oregon. car is a high three to a mid range two, does not matter what people thing about it it love, i owe it, and i'll fix it (or pay to have it fix). moral = keep lookin, they are out there, theres just one less now. |wavey|

OK, Boatman. I saw the 70 LT1 that we talked about and I decided it was more than I wanted to tackle at this time. So if you are still interested in pursuing it, contact me off line (email - perikson2@verizon.net). I can then give you his phone # and the whole story.

Thanks,
