I thought I'd try this here first, before going to another forum or Flea-Bay.
Parting out an L-79 motor from a '68 vette. (This is the 327 / 350 horse motor)
Here's what I have left:
-- BLOCK Casting # 3914678 ASSY DATE – J177 (10/17/1967) 2-bolt main (11.0:1 c/r) (standard bore) $400
-- Camel hump HEADS Casting # 3890462 ASSY DATE – H176 (both heads match) (7/17/1966) (63-65 cc chambers, 2.02 / 1.60 valves, no accessory holes) $200
-- CRANKSHAFT Casting # 4672 (forged, medium journal) $75
-- CARB – Holley List-1850-2 (4160) 600 cfm Vac secondaries (needs rebuild) $50
-- PISTONS (standard bore) $50
-- OIL PAN $20
-- OIL PUMP $15
-- DIPSTICK $10
I'll give this a week or so here, then on to Flea-Bay.

Well, past time to part it out. Have it posted on several Chevy forums (Camaro, Nova, Impala).
Besides block, heads, and crank, I have associated parts, too (like oil pan, dipstick, pistons, rods, valves, carb, oil pump, etc.).
What do you need 68 owners? Make me an offer. Mike

Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.
68shrk and rdznrx this is a guy that parts out a lot of corvettes. (vettsteve@aol.com) He has been restoring and parting
out C3 for almost 20 years now. He owns two for himself 68 red convertible and a pace car.
Most of the cars are California cars so the steel parts are in great shape. He just parted out a 82 CE with a bad engine the other day and I got the copper t-tops from it for $500 exchange for mine which were two different colors (one blue other gold).
You may want to give him an email telling him what you want. His prices have always been good. His business is only 10 minutes from my house. I'm not much of a mechanic but if you need someone to look at a parts or take some pictures for you I can run over there if I'm in town. I normally travel about 50% of the time for business.
Feel free to use my name.
