I am most definitely NOT in a hurry. I have to figure out what I (ooops, he) wants!!!! Did they make a C5 Z06 with an automatic transmission???
Sure is a purdy color on that one, though!

Expensive, but..................SWEET! I want that!
I saw a blue convertible (black convertible top) with 45,000 miles for $31,000, full
warranty
, it's a Grand Prairie, Texas car and saw the car fax info on it. I think it's an '02. Not a Z06, but the car was in excellent shape. I looked it over real GOOD.
I was impressed.

[QUOTE=Tuxblacray]Hey Karen take a look at this car...

Got some info on this car from the seller. Here's what they say:
"As far as we know this vehicle was in hurricane Floyd, I was told that the water level only came just past the bottom door jam. We are looking into getting more information about it. There is no bad odor in the car! There isn't too much rust as you can see in the photos, only the normal wear and tear from what we've seen and in the photos. The disk brakes get rusty when a vehicle doesn't get driven as often as it should, I'm sure this humidity we're having lately doesn't help either."
"Just past the bottom door jam"... What about electrical issues? Think that would be a problem? Not that I'm seriously considering this car...need to wait for awhile. But, I am curious. What are the implications of water in a car past the bottom door jam?

If it has gotten wet, there will be a musty odor that WILL return when their sanitizers wear off. Remember, the newer Corvettes are complex electronic machines with several miles of wiring that can be very moisture sensitive.
Take.....your......time.....and the right Vette will show up just around the corner. Rich

Karen,
I wouldn't touch the flood car. As jayare stated there are too many potential electrical issues to list. It would have gremlins in the future for sure. Keep looking.

They haven't answered me yet I think their skeered! I'm gonna send them another post just fer the fun of it...
I'd still look at it fer the money.... 10K saving can go along way towards repair if the title is clear.....

Do you think it was fresh water or saltwater?
The whole story sounds "fishy" to me.
