Looking for 68 vette 427

Saw this posted in AOL. Not sure if it is still available but worth looking into for the price if it is original.

2004-08-05 I have a wrecked 1968 convertible stingray,4 speed 427.I bought a new front clip for it.I was going to have it rebuilt,but I need the money.I`m asking for $4500.00.It is in Beaumont,Texas.Make me an offer.jcorbell2@gt.rr.com

Thanks for the input, folks. I've been watching a lot of those same places. I had not seen the one on AOL. The problem is, a lot of those "original big blocks" magically have the wrong tach, sway bar, etc. inside. I'm a relative newbie, but I have learned a great deal from reading here and elsewhere. Depending on what I find, I may have many parts left over. I'll keep you posted.

P.S. I forgot to mention it needs to be a 4-speed car.

Check E-Bay. Item # 2490316959. 1968 427 - 4 spd. Seven days to go on the auction. Roadster has 63,000 actual miles, as advertised. Looks very nice.
