I am currently looking for my fathers old Vette. He bought it in Dec 1967. Any information that helps me find the vette will be rewarded. I would like to purchase or reunite him with the car.

Wish I could find the original owner for mine. It's 8s408925 with a Dec. build date. Good luck!

you will have to go to your State DMV and see if they can help you. They may charge a fee. but that is the only place you can find older than 1980 car vinn numbers. good luck , it won't be easy.

Already tried that, I live in N.C. The car came from Ala. which wasn't a title state. Ala. doesn't keep records back as far as I need, even for a fee. G.M. won't tell me what dealer sold the car and I have the zone and dealer numbers! The car is a real L-71, I have a tank sticker and I'm doing a frame off resto on the car. NCRS doesn't have the dealer in their registry either. I may have to give up on the search (bummer)

The only suggestion I have is to go to corvette shows, especially the big ones, and look around at the build sheets or invoices for the cars being judged, you may run into a car with the same information.
