Mike;
Do you have Corvette Ralley Wheels, or the aluminum wheels that came on a '78 (option YJ8)?

Hi Larry,
Sorry I did see your reply as I just by happenstance checked this posting. As far as I can tell you these wheels came with my 78 and are the OE Corvette Rally Wheels w/the Corvette center caps as far as I know are the originals.
I'll be more that happy to give them a look at or perhaps you can tell me how to really know what they are. Perhaps a few pix may help you with the ID.
BTW....How would I find out what option came with the 78 as there has never been asny sort of original paperwork except the bill of sale from the previous owner.
Anyway Larry thanks for your reply and I hope to hear from you.

This is a ralley wheel. It uses an outer trim ring and a center cap. The other wheel I mentioned is aluminum.

Larry,
Thanks for the reply and pix.
It looks as though I have a set of aluminum wheels w/Corvette center caps, and no trim rings.
They came with my 78 and for some reason are always referred to as aluminum "rally wheels" by most club members and so-called vette experts.
On a more salient note......are they worth anything at all? I have them posted for sale here and also at the DC website?
Perhaps you might know of someone needing a set of these through your many vette sources. Anyone interested will get a good deal from me.

If they are real Corvette wheels, and depending on condition, we get from $400.00 to $600.00 for a set. I don't have any right now, and have a customer looking for some. If you email me pictures at parts@corvettespecialties.com, I will show them to my customer. I suspect it would cost you about $100.00 to ship them here.

I've had my 79 wheels for sale for ages for $400 with good rubber on them. Seems I can't give them away...

Hard to believe. I'd have loved that deal (when I had the money
). Trouble is, shipping is just tooo much from coast to coast. I've got lucky with U-ship before but more and more you hear about things getting ripped off
.

Hey fellers...my brother is looking for a set of either the steel Rally rims, OR the alloy(aluminuminum) rims for the '75 he just bought.
Mike, I'll give him your info.
Paul...do you still have yours?
