FS: 1978 Corvette Pace Car Edition - Only 626 miles on it!

This 1978 Corvette Pace Car Edition listed for sale in Glen Cove, NY last month.

The owner is asking $66,000 for it. He states that it is a very rare C3 because it is equipped with a 4-speed manual trans and L82 engine.

He also says the car has achived Triple Crown Status  by obtaining NCRS Mclellan award, 5 Star Bowtie, Bloomington Gold Award, Gold Spinner and has been featured in several magazines and has been used as a bench march in 2 restoration books.

At first glance thought it was a car I saw on Wednesday as we were traveling across southern Vermont/eastern New York from Brattleboro, VT to Glenville, NY on Hwys VT 9 and NY 7.  Passing through one of the many little hamlets there was a '78 PC sitting at the end of a driveway with a for sale sign on the windshield.  Unfortunately it was on the opposite side of the road and there was no place to pull over and take a peek at it.  "Da Barge" just do well in places where there isn't some space to manuver.

The ad states:  "I have owned it for 23 years and it time to let someone else enjoy"   That's 14 miles a year of enjoyment so far!
