FOR SALE 82 Vette With Mirrored Tops, LOADED!!!... US$400.00 cash paid to anyone whom refers someone, and that person buys this car for agreed upon price of US$12,800.00 cash ((((REDUCED on 9-18-03 to US$10,999 Cash)))) Easy money for you, and a great car for someone you know! NOTE: Feel free to copy/paste this info and photo and e-mail it out to your friends/family or other "for sale" posts and classifieds.
Thanks for helping me to spread the word!!!!
1982 Corvette, "Last year C3 Sting...ray...ish Corvette!", Charcoal Gray Metallic with black leather int., all original and in awesome un-restored, unmolested shape. Has glass tops and every option that I have ever heard of or seen on an 82 non-"collectors edition". 350/200hp EFI, auto, etc... Clean CarFax Report! I know the second owner and his family!
I have looked at many late C3's in recent months...and this car is "by far the best" 'Driven but babied' car I have seen. First owner put the bulk of the 92K miles on the car in it's first 7 years. Second owner of 14 years (70+ year old named Woody) seldom drove the car and never drove in rain or at night do to fear of someone hitting him. He refers to the car as "his baby" kept the car in the garage and never let his kids, wife or anyone else drive it. I did not even drive it until the sale was final. A little nutty? Maybe, but that is what it takes to keep a car this nice for 21 years.
I am a 16 year+ master GM dealer tech and have checked this car over and the only repairs needed have been a new cat convertor and DynoMax mufflers, new master cyl., shocks, frt. brake job and new calipers. I also replaced plugs, all filters and fluids, cap, rotor, plugs, wires, rear brakes, 85TPI fuel pump, 02 sensor, water pump, fan clutch, flushed cooling system and refilled with DexCool, trans serviced, and fluids replaced with synthetic/W slick 50 etc...
Car runs like new!
We are buying a new house and need more down payment cash...so the Vette must go. Maybe whomever buys it will sell it back to me for profit in a few years? Wishful thinking!

oops, forgot... asking price is US$12,800.00 FIRM ((((REDUCED on 9-18-03 To $10,999))))
Note: These pictures were taken when I first bought the car. The car was already very clean...I have since completely detailed inside, outside, eng and undercarriage, hand polished & waxed 3X, and polished the wheels (about 3+ hours per wheel!) The car looks awesome and gets many complements.

Well...the money offer was enough to get many views of my ad. No comments, offers etc... What's up? I sure hope C3VR isn't just another "clicky" site where you only get responces if you are in the "in crowd" This is the case with many sites and it takes from the value of what is often otherwise a very useful resorce.
Thanks!
Brian

C3VR is far from a "clicky" site...everyone is on the same level here.
If you didn't get responses, it is because people don't have anything to say about it. Maybe they are out promoting it right now... who knows. You've done your job of spreading the word... now just sit back and hope your plan works.

I recently sold my 90 Vette. It was a very nice piece with thousands of wonderful ultra low mile mods and repairs...I mean...all new suspension, clutch, gears, tires, brakes ..with receipts....
It was for sale off and on over a YEAR. It finally sold a few months ago.
So...Vettes (especially older ones) can be super slow movers. You have to just hang in there.
It takes on average 6 weeks in the local area to sell a vette, much less run it over the internet nationwide.
Good luck!

Thank you guys for the candid advice!
I have sold other "slow moving" Race cars etc and half expected this car to be very simular. It is a great car but not the type to get "mainstream" serious interest. I ran a ten day ad in the local paper placed in "Special interest/collectors" and also under Chevy Corvette. A few calls but no serious offers yet. The most interested have stopped because they saw it sitting in front of my home or at my work. I am not in a big hurry to sell it, but sooner would be better than later. I also do not want to spend alot on advertising but have not found many FREE sites that get much traffic (except for this one). Any suggestions???
Thank you in advance!

PS I meant no offence when I asked if this site was "clicky", just checking! LOL!!! Thanks Adam! YOU ROCK!

I placed the car on E-Bay last night. Does anyone here have any experience selling on E-Bay? Success or Horror stories???

Vette(s): 1976 - L-48 Auto, A/C, AM/FM, Power Windows, Tilt Telescopic Wheel, Factory Aluminum Wheels, Inferno Red Matalic Custom paint with Black Leather Interior.
Just read your sales line. The car sounds and looks great. I have seen and bid on a couple of Vettes on e-bay though I have never won a bid, ( they always go higher than I could afford). I have baught other vette items there and have had good success selling a few items. Only one item listed not sold and that I think was due to the time of year. Good luck and just to let you know I printed out the info and the photos and placed it on 2 for sale or trade bulletin boards in my area.
