hello to all i am a new member i have finally got my first vette i have beem a mech for 20+ yrs and have always wanted one mine is in sade shape but it is worth fixing (in my opinion they are all worth fixing ) but i am out of work as of know i need a set of t-tops badly as mine are broken and letting water in and have rotted the seats i have allready fixed the floor pans but i would like a set of mirrored t's if any one has any real cheep or would consider a trade of some type i found a set of real nice red seat foams but the dont match my doeskin i would like to trade them for t's or a seat of black seats as i plan to do black or blue int the are to nice to dye

You will not find mirror tops cheap, good replacements will be starting at $1200. bucks. You can watch e-bay and when they come up see what they are selling for.
There is a company that repairs them on an exchange but again it's not cheap.
With your work situation for now you may just want to get a rain top or a set of used painted tops.
How bad are yours cracked outside or inside? Can you seal the cracks for now?

It costs about $800 to get a set re-glassed with smoked glass. We have a set of fiberglass tops that are in primer that we would sell for $100.00 for the pair. We also have some cracked, but not broken glass tops we would trade for a set of rebuildable one for just the shipping. They wouldn't be pretty, but at least wouldn't leak.
