In my local Maryland newspaper this morning there is a '68 C3 for sale in Mt. Airy, MD. The ad states it's a numbers matching 427/390 L36 and the asking price is $27,000. The seller's phone is 301-639-3718.
I called and spoke to the seller for more information. It's a coupe, 4 speed, 81K miles and light blue. The price is pretty much firm. Maybe if someone seriously talked to him he might negotiate. He said the engine has had some work done by the previous owner, but he doesn't know how much.
If anyone is serious in it, I'd be willing to go check the car out and take photos to e-mail them. It's only about twenty miles from my home.
Maybe someone here wants to be good to themselves for Christmas!
