1975 Convertible VIN plate

Hello I am looking for a 1975 Convertible VIN plate. I need one to get my car registered. Doesnt matter that it is from a registered wrecked car. I need a title and the VIN tag only.

You could get into trouble that way.  If the "boys" find out that you have a fictious VIN, you will have instant problems. That process is often done to sell stolen cars.   The bad guys steal a car, then buy a trashed, totaled, or burned car to remove the plate and have a clear title.  The wrong car get the right title and VIN plate, and a "Hot" car is then sold "legally"

The actual vin number is stamped in the frame.  You should have it officially inspected, have the state verify the VIN, and issue the correct title.  Then you can register the car legally.  Many states will also issue an new VIN tag.  Check with your BMV or Highway Patrol.

 

Granted, I don't know how it works in Norway.

Ken's right, In N.C. even removing a vin tag is a felony. Ask a few questions with your local authorities, it will be cleaner and maybe easier.

 

In Norway that is allowed. If anyone has a wreck of one standing somewhere that they are parting out. Why not get a couple of dollars for a VIN tag that is scrapped anyways. In norway it doesnt matter that the car it is taken from is wrecked as long as it is not wrecked in Norway. I need this VIN tag for a project of mine. I am building a hot rod convertible with some reassemblance of a corvette convertible on a 1975 corvette frame and need a Convertible VIN tag to get the papers on it. So if anyone could help me that would have been great.

Sadly there are no such thing in Norway. Had there been such a thing I would have done it a long time ago. Norway is stupid that way. Every car that you are trying to register in Norway has to be approved or registered earlier in another country to get papaers on it here. We have no such thing as salvage titles or Single Vehicle Approval.
