All she need is some TLC and a motor This could be a good purchase and make for a nice return investment at a later date.

I just read in Corvette Enthusiast that you could "Callaway" it for under $20K and you'd have a spectacular performer... one option...

Now that would be some delicious irony..... A Callaway Z06 with a salvage title.....

Doesn't Callaway need a motor to tweak ... or do they yank out the original donor engine.

Normally they offer add on modifications, Honker air induction, exhaust, etc. I am not sure what Corvette Enthusiast mentions in their article.
But you can buy the GM ">LS7 crate engine for less that $20k and that would give you a true Z06 and a warranty motor as well.
If you are a wrench turner this makes for a good deal.

Vette(s): 1966 Coupe, Milano Maroon, 383 w/ TPIS Fuel Injection, Automatic, Power Windows, Power Steering.
2006 Victory Red Coupe, 6 Speed, Z51 Performance Package.
2007 Ron Fellows Z06
A new GM LS7 engine makes the most sense, I think.

Yes they do. Normally the vette goes to them with the factory engine. They do not provide engines.
