Vette(s): 1976 Brown with Buckskin Interior. I bought her on 9/15/03 and just received it on OCT 1st 2003!! It needs interior work, and some things under the hood, but I am so excited! Just waiting for Summer of 2004 to totally show it off.
This area is never used... Do we not have enough women owners here????? 
I think we need to turn this up a bit and have pictures posted in this area. Women and their vet's? What is your opinion??

Hi Suzanne. I'm fairly new here. Woman owner of a 1973 Corvette. Owned since 1994. Long story short: Abandoned car, lots of paper and leg work to obtain clear title. A few weeks waiting and $1600.00 later, it was mine. Drove it home.

!!! ...did you have alot of work to do to get it the way you wanted it? I paid $7000 for my now totalled '77.You'll have to excuse me,a guy,visiting the women only section,but I think its a great idea and wondered why theres not more of you posting here. Debbie-aka:Rose-where'd you get the scooped hood for your vette?

Hi Jon!
The Vette was in excellent mechanical condition. Something had been done to the engine to beef it up, and runs GREAT! Paint is faded (silver). Headers/sidepipes are rusted. The ENTIRE, I mean ALL, of the interior was done in diamond tuck velour (ick) and was worn and faded. Somebody put a lot of money into that car at one time. We were rippin' that icky stuff off the dash and other areas on our way home with the car! The first thing we did was have new carpet put in and recover the seats. We drove it for 2 years, then the rear end started making noise. Parked it. While parked, I have gathered up all the interior parts needed (thank you e-bay!!) Now that my 72 Monte Carlo is finished, I'll start putting money into the Vette again. By time all is said and done, we'll have about 7 grand into it. I feel I got my money's worth just out of the 2 years we had fun in it, ugly as it might be!
Sorry to hear your Vette is totaled. Hope you have a great insurance company. How'd it total?

I was hit head-on by a 17 y.o.girl doing about 50mph!My Xmas present this year is-I'm still here..although its been painful! Happened 11/03/03 around 2 pm.!st she decided to go offroad & take out mailboxes and stuff,then came flying out of the ditch,saw a bright yellow Corvette w/ only 77,000 miles on it and figured that was what to aim for.Anyway,her parents insurance got me the red '79.The bodily injury part will take much longer.What hurt me almost as much as the neck & ribs,was being tied down with a neck brace to a backboard for 5 & 1/2 hrs while they determined if ny neck or ribs were broke,& internal bleeding.Had to give me morphine for that.My forehead gash is healing,but now I have a nice big scar.Neck physical therapy is once/week. You know you have to be careful though,cause with my military,DOD,& police driver,etc training a 17 year old took me out in a split second-all I did was hit the brakes. Sounds like for the price you paid for your vette,you could spend $6000 minimum and still make out!
