Hey Mistyrunner,

I noticed you have an 81' also. Ever had any heating or air conditioning problems? I'm hearing terrible noises when my heat goes on.

June

June, what kind of noise are you hearing? Does it only make noise with the blower(fan) on Med. or High speed? If so , then you probably have a blower motor going bad.
It could also be some kind of trash(leaves, paper, furry animal condo) inside the fan "cage", that is making a noise.
If it is kinda like a high pitched squeak/squeal, it will be the blower motor. If it sounds like a playing card in a bicycle wheel, it's probably trash.
Either way, the blower motor will need to come out to fix it. Hope this info helps.

Hey 91 Blessing,

I didn't have any noises but I replaced the original water pump,  lasted 24 years, and when that didn't solve the problem, I replaced the radiator..now, I can run the air.....no problem, and you may just need them to check your fluids for ac...and like adams apple said, some animal may have gotten in and decided to take up housekeeping, like little mice ....or you just may need to check your blower motors.....

Hope you find your noises!

Theresa

Hey Misty & Adams' Apple,

When I turn on the heat, air or defroster it makes a real loud noise, something like a motor running but not properly. It happens on med. or high. It also gets louder as I speed up. I got the car in 11/04 and never used the hear or air. Living in NY I need heat in the winter so I just park it. It also fogs up bad in the rain. So bad I can barely see when driving.

It does sound like I need to fix the blower motor. I'm going to take it to my guy just wanted to see if anyone had simliar problems. Thanks.

(Misty, thats OK I'm a C3 girl at heart, LOL)

I'm hardly on the Vette Women's catagory forum, because they never seem to answer back........boring!! So, I go to the other forums and get/give info because the guy's are more interesting. All the guy's have a better sence of humor and know a lot. When I shop, I shop for vette parts. I'm just not into clothes, shoes, purses and dumb junk like most women.

Hey all ladies........I'm not trying to down women or anything like that. I would just like the women to talk more in this forum. Say for example, if you have had some type of car problem and ya got it fixed, tell us about it or a good tip on taking care of your vette.......maybe even a story about you & your vette.

How about it ladies?? Let's make this forum interesting! Who want's to go first??
