I got out last Thursday, it was close to 80. Tops off and having fun. Today it is 40 with 3 inches of ice on the ground.
Spring is almost here

My 16 yr old daughter walks into the garage and says my car is beautiful (vette
) and mom's car is beautiful (94 BMW 325is
) I want one of them not (beater 96 Aerostar Van
). I told her it only took me 47 yrs to get the vette so she might have to wait a while
. I did promise her though, if she can keep a clean driving record and good grades I would buy her something. So this summer I will start looking for a mid 90's mustang with a v6, no v8's for her, she likes to use the power.

It won't be long before they'll want the keys to the Vette instead of just a ride to school.

I know! And that scares the #(@& out of me. I believe that giving young drivers the keys to a sports car is like handing a little kid a loaded gun! It's just not a good idea... Once they have a few miles under their belt, I will let them drive it as long as Mike or I are in the passenger seat. Their already arguing over who gets it when I'm dead...
I told them I was going to be burried in it
. (Not really; I couldn't do that to a Vette!)

I have a 1966 MGB that I have let my daughter drive while I am a passenger(never the vette). Plus it is teaching her how to drive a stick. We are in a small town so not much traffic to worry about. She still has not mastered the technique of driving a manual. We are at a light waiting for traffic to clear (2 cars) so she can turn left. Just as the 2nd car clears (its the police
) she revs the engine up and drops the clutch
. Does a little burn out with this 4 cyl. The cop must have figured it was a rookie cause he didn't come after us. At the next light a couple pulls along side in there new dodge magnum(they were behind us at the light) and asks my daughter if we have a Hemi under the hood
.
