I would like to include a picture of my 69 drinking problem with my posts and replies. Problem is all my pictures are a minimum of 1MB. The maximum allowed here is 500K.

Any suggestions on how to get a picture that's less than 500K?

Hiya, there is a post around here to that effect in the FAQ's i think.. but in short, if you have MS Paint(most computers, pc with Windows) you can resize your picture with it. Its fairly simple... just open the picture in Paint(click START--ACCESSORIES--PAINT), go up to FILE then OPEN, then find your picture.... once opened,  go back up to IMAGE then STRETCH\SKEW,  type in the percentage(try 50% Horizontal, 50% Vertical... keep the numbers the same so not to distort the image)  then go back to FILE, then SAVE AS... give it a nice name and location,  then check properties to see the size... i know Norsky has a little better way, think its with the Attributes, but i dont recall the size it should be.... hope that helps...

There is a free Microsoft download called 'Powertoys' and the is a Photo resizer in there. Select that and download it and it will add a feature so you can right click the photo and then there will be a resize option that allows you to chose the size you want. here is the link;  http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

Try this viewer option http://www.irfanview.com/

This tool will allow you to minimize the size of your pictures and save them to a smaller down loadable size.

From the main page click on View, you should see a bunch of Free down load options.

Once it is loaded, you should be able to find your picutres, at the top click on Image,
About halfway down you should see the resize option.

Good Luck Thumbs%20Up
