This registry has way too many catagories. I wanted to post "that I needed a parking brake handle" and there are at least 4 catagories that it could go into: general, interior, brakes, & wnated to buy. Can the posting be posted once and directed to several categories? Can we look at all the posts from all the categories? Corvette forum has only 3 for C3's: general, cars for sale, parts for sale and it works well. Thanks, Jim

I don't know, i like it. I'm use to s2ki.com, home of the s2000, and its setup pretty much the same way. If i were you, i'd just post it under interior. I'd say this site is exactly like s2ki.com in the aspect that it is directed towards the hardcore enthusiast of their perspective automobile. Hope that was an insight:)

If you NEED the part, then it goes in Parts/Needed. If you have a problem with it or are trying to fix somthing, then it should probably go elsewhere.

Personally I found CF to be difficult to keep track of things. It is like a giant chatroom and the sheer volume of postings made it just too difficult for this Norwegian to stay on top of.

The forum categories here at C3VR that relate to specific topics on the C3s were setup to be like the chapters of a repair manual (Chilton's and Haynes table of contents were compared and homogenized). So if you are confused about where to post a question (and all of us are from time to time) check either of those manuals for where the topic is discussed and you'll most likely find the corresponding forum.

And Scot is correct, parts wanted to buy or for sale should be posted in the C3 Parts For Sale/Wanted forum.

Hope that helps sort things out a little for you.

Hi Jim.

Thanks for the comment/question regarding where to post your message.

I have to agree with the above response that your post belongs in the For Sale/Wanted section since you are looking to buy. If you were asking a question, you could just place it in whichever category you think is the best match, or you could post it in multiple categories. No, there is no way to do that automatically, it would be a cut & paste job.

The reason there are so many categories is because, as mentioned, we're all about C3s, so we have room to seperate the different categories out. Corvette Forum has to cover so many other topics that they can't afford to break it out like we do. Having all C3 stuff in a "General C3 Discussion" makes research very difficult.

If you have any other comments/questions/suggestions, please let us know!! Many of the great features on C3VR were suggested by members!
