Question about one of our "Supporting Vendors" (who, at this point, shall remain nameless). What does "SV" status mean, anywho?  Are there bennies associated with doing business with them?

I ordered something from this particular SV BEFORE I realized they were a SV.  That is not the issue. I just happen to have major heartburn  Wits%20End with this one (at least with this first transaction) and intend to contact them and register my displeasure. We got thangs to discuss.

Any ideas or tips about SVs? Should I mention my affiliation with C3VR?  Will it hep any? Appreciate your insight (or even random thoughts on the subject). Wink

I know when I ordered from Bairs, the young lady taking my order didn't know that C3VR meant anything however, I had her go talk with her boss and I got 10% off the purchase price.

Works for me.

Under the "Shopping" menu, go to "C3VR Member Deals & Discounts"
There you will see which (if any) SVs offer a discount to C3VR Members. Currently, only Bair's offers a discount.

Also, I'd hope that when you contact the SV with your complaint, they will work it out with you.  If you want, send me and email about what the issue is and who with, and if you can't get it resolved on your own, maybe I can contact them on your behalf.

Adam may have answered this indirectly in his reply, but if you're asking what the "SV" initals represent it expands to "Supporting Vendor".  "Supporting Vendors" are those individuals/companies/suppliers who have paid a fee to have their presence seen on the C3VR website.  Their support helps to offset some of the costs of operating the C3VR website.  We as members can show our gratitude for their support by doing business with them.

So if you know of an outfit that would be interested in touching a group of devoted "crazies" have them get in touch with Adam.
