Hey Adam,
I was curious to see how big a difference there was in the production numbers between coupes and convertibles for the 68-75 years. I was surprised that after such a strong start in '68 (9,936 coupes/18,630 convertibles) how fast the drop-tops fell behind in popularity by the time they were discontinued after the '75 model year (33,836 coupes/4,629 convertibles). The coupes (169,294) sure out sold the convertibles (70,586) for those years.
As I was adding up the numbers I discovered some errors in the stats pages. One that popped out was for 1980 - in the General Stats box it lists 40,614 for total production, but in the Options box it lists 40,514 for the Coupe (40,614 is the correct number).
Then just for kicks I started looking at the colors. None of the color totals match up to the production totals for the any of the years where the color stats are available. I'll e-mail you the spreadsheet I built to look at. Any historians out there know why the color stats are missing for the 69, 70, 73, and 74 model years?
