I know what you're thinking...
"Damn that Adam! He changed the menu bar, now I don't know where anything is!!"
You're right, I changed the menu bar.
I believe that you'll find the new menu more organized and concise.
You're probably also thinking "now I have to click twice to get to the forums".
Well, you're right again. But I think it's a small price to pay for a better organzied site.
The new system will also allow me to add new areas to the site very easily, whereas before it took quite an effort.
At any rate, please let me know what you think of the new menu system.
Thanks for your support!

Yep, that was my first question. Interesting new look. It will take a little getting used to, but it is less busy to the eye. Nice job!

Hey Adam,
I think the element of surprise is what has caught most folks off guard. A little advance notice of an upcoming change would have helped to ease the visual shock. If there is one thing I've learned in over 30 years in the I.T. world, it is that users don't like changes to something they are comfortable with. Especially unannounced changes. 'Nuff said 'bout that.
*********
Navigational question:
I've noticed that on all of the main tab pages, except the Home page, that there is a block of unused real estate on the left side of the page (the surveys occupy that space on the Home page). This may be considered overkill or redundancy, but would it be possible to put individual drop down menus for the other main tab pages in that space, similar in concept to the "Forum jump..." box.
- or -
Add a drop down arrow to each of the main tabs to allow a member to either go to the main tab area (by clicking on the tab), or select to go directly to a sub-area of the tab (by selecting it from the drop down list).
Either of these would be an aid to jumping around within the site, especially when you know where you want to go.
Keep up the FANTASTIC work on the site...!!!

You're right. Perhaps I could have given some warning, but if memory serves, most websites just change their look every now and then without warning. I admit it's a bit of a shock at first, but should not take long to get used to.

Yes it is possible, but it will take time because I do not know enough about the implementation to do it correctly. I'd have to research and test it quite a bit!

I will certainly consider this one. It would be easy enough to implement.

Adam,
It does look less cluttered, but I would suggest having a big "Forum" button on the Home page. This is where most people want to visit first. I would place it between "Home" and "Community". JMHO
