Hi gang.

I have removed the PayPal Subscription payment option from the "My C3VR Membership" page.  Many, many people have forgotten that they set up a subscription and/or didn't realize what they were doing when they created it... so when it automatically renews the following year, they are surprised and often upset that their account was charged.  Any exisiting subscriptions will stay in place, for now... but no new subscriptions can be created.

Please let me know if you have any questions about this change.

Thank you.

Good question.  Absoultely you can use PayPal to purchase mugs and stuff.  The only thing that was affected was Anual Membership Subscriptions.

This is true, but I've been with them for 3 or 4 years in good standing and no problems so far. I got a couple of weird fake PayPal emails telling me to update my account at so & so link. I just forwarded the funky email to PayPal and they started working on it immediately. When I say immediately, I mean fast.....heard from them within 5 or 10 minutes. Just my 2 cents for whatever it's worth.

Paypal does not "have an open door to your bank account" unless you agree to automatic annual subscription renewals when you sign up for something. As an Ebay Power Seller with almost 6000 Paypal transactions I have NEVER had any type of security problems whatsoever. Paypal now has over 86 million registered users and obviously wouldn't if there was any threat of security problems, so get your facts straight before you make a nonsensical comment like that in a public forum.

I agree, If you Pay Attention to what you are doing you wont have problems. Using Ebay since 98 and PayPal since 2000. 1 bad ebay experience and no Paypal issues

With 13,000 Ebay transactions-most of them as a seller-I've had a few Ebay transactions with problems, but you can never please everybody no matter how hard you try. About 75% of all the payments I receive are via Paypal, which makes it a lot easier for both the buyer and seller......

Adam:

How are you handling renewals now if PayPal is not an option?

People that never signed up for a PayPal Subscription are NOT affected.

People that currently have a PayPal Subscription are NOT affected.

The only change is that creating a NEW PayPal Subscription is no longer an option.

You can still purchase a 1-year, 2-year (new or renewal) or Lifetime Membership through PayPal.

Thanks!
