New Server for C3VR!

I just ordered a "dedicated server" to host VetteRegistry.net!!

Currently VetteRegistry.net is on a "shared server".

For those of you that don't know what that means...

A "shared server" means a single computer that is used by multiple websites. They are all sharing the computer's resources like hard drive space, processing speed, etc.

A "dedicated server" means a single computer that is use by only one website. The one site gets to use the full capacity of the computer's resources.

What this means to you as a member of C3VR is a faster website, with hopefully less (possibly no) drops (as some of you have experienced). It also allows for features to be added to the site in the futuer that wouldn't be allowed on a shared server.

I'm not sure how long it will take to get the site up and running on the new server, but I will certainly let you know when it is ready. Also, there is a possiblity that there will need to be some down-time to make the switch. I will also give you a heads-up on that, should it be needed.

It is thanks to your financial support that allows C3VR to grow and become an even better place for your C3 passion!

Vette(s): had a really nice one. sold it to a good friend. Purchased 2004 custom coupe in Feb. 2009 did not tell anyone here until August 2009. BAD I KNOW.

adam thank you for continue efforts to improve and draw more supporters and resouces to this fine site. I am not much of a tech help person, more of a P.R. person, but this site has been a refreshing social outlet for me, breaks up the stress of the disability world on a daily basis, I have gain knowledge, freindship, and a sense of belonging, so thank you for your hard work and deadaction to your members. Thank you.
