...the amount of new pictures appearing in signatures is on the rise... A downside to this increase in picture volume is that I have noticed page loading times are on the rise as well. I don't know if anyone else has experienced this, but being on a 56k modem I notice it quite a bit... A few thoughts come to mind.

(1) Ask everyone to review their signature picture and reduce the size of it a little bit. I'm not saying reducing them to thumbnail size, but quite a few could easily be reduced by half and still be very easy (and most enjoyable!) to see.

I agree completely! And consider this reply a request to everyone to reduce the size of their signature images. I will also put out a note with my next email to all members.

(2) Ask everyone to be a little more conscious in the use of their signature when replying multiple times in a thread.

Again, good idea!

(3) Allow for a secondary signature to be created, without the image option, which could be used after the initial post or reply in a thread (either manually or automatically).

I'm not sure that this is very practicle, because I doubt much people would take the time to distinguish them and use them correctly.

Thanks for the suggestions!
Let hope others will head the request and reduce those images! |rollysmile|

Adam,

A couple of thoughts.

1) In the C3 For Sale/Wanted or C3 Parts For Sale/Wanted forums it would be nice to have a way to flag a thread as Bought, Sold, or Whatever so one can tell at a glance the status of the thread. It would be the responsibility of the originator of the thread to update the status, or have simply it expire after a certain length of inactivity.

2) When entering a new post or a reply, there are several Options that are selected based on settings from ones profile (I believe). Click to add or remove a check mark, then preview the message, and wonder of wonders - the check marks magically reset themselves to the default! If the page is refreshed by clicking on the Preview button, can you stop the Options from being automatically refreshed? I don't know about others, but I sometimes forget to reset the Options the way I wanted them before clicking on the Post/Update button.
