IMPORTANT NOTICE: Forum Change

A change has been made to the Forums that affects ALL members!

Earlier today I was browsing the C3VR Forums and found pages loads were taking 45 SECONDS! I decided I couldn't take it anymore and put in an option to turn the "Message Read Feature" off. This is the feature that shows you which messages you have and have not read already.

By default, I have switched the option for ALL members to OFF!
This should help overall site performance.

You should be able to get an idea of what messages you have not read by looking at the "Last Activity" date on each message... compare it to the last time you visited.

If you decide that you can't live without the feature and you can stand the long page loads, you can turn the feature on/off at any time in "My Profile" under the "My Account" menu. You will find the option under the space for your Forum Signature.

Please be aware, however, that if you turn the feature back on, you are subject to page load times of currently anywhere from 3 to 45 seconds!

I noticed that other forums do not have a "Message Read Feature" probably for the same reason that C3VR's is so slow.

Thanks Adam for doing everything possible to make this site work better.

In case you hadn't noticed, I have added a "Last Activty" column to the Main Forums List page. And I have modified the information displayed in that column (also on the Message List page) to show "Today", "Yesterday", or if older than 1 day, the date.

These changes should help you find new messages faster!

I'll still take the load times for the convenience, so I really appreciate the added effort to keep the feature avaliable! Still the best Forums I've ever used.
