The first step in creating a "Fourms Search" feature is complete!
Stay tuned... I hope to have it up and running by this weekend!

Good job Adam. I was going to recommend something like that but wasn't sure of the software limitations on the version that you are using.

Adam,
Maybe I missed a post somewhere. The search feature, what exactly does it do? Can you just search for a topic and it finds the correct posting regardless of the forum it is posted under? If so , that will be a great feature. I have found my self on a couple occassions tring to respond to a previous post with information I had to look up, only to realize I forgot where the question came from. Maybe a quick rundown on how it will work and what to expect of it would help all of us.
Thanks !

Glenn,
You will be able to search Titles & Bodies of posts for keywords, like "Brakes" or phrases like "window stuck".
All the details will be laid out for you when it is implemented.

Now all you will have to do Adam, is child proof it, the system I mean. You keep forgetting that you are not working with the sharpest crayon in the box here. I will probably be the first to screw up.

Adam, one thing....make it so we can search for members with their forum name. Can you make it with their real name too? Probably not. I agree totally with the others. When you go and try to find a post, sometimes it can be hard to find the one that you want. And we'll have to see who the first one is to screw it up because there are a few of us who will.

Hey Adam, I think Dar just threw down the gauntlet. How about a contest to see who screws up first in your new forum. Nah, you better not on second thought. We are liable to screw up the whole system.
