As you may already may be aware, C6VR's website has been experiencing some issues with people losing their connection to the site and in the process losing posts that they spent time entering.
In an effort to fix the problems users have been experiencing, to bring the web server up to the latest hardware, and to give an overall faster browsing experience to all users, C6VR will be migrating to a new web server this weekend.
Shortly after 6:00pm ET tonight, Friday, June 29, 2012, C6VR's website will be brought down so the migration can occur. For some time this weekend when you browse to C6VR's website you will see a message stating the site is down for maintenance. Once the migration is complete you will see the full site again.
We will not be able to send you a message when the upgrade is complete because the time it takes for you to be able to see the new site will be different for each person. Without getting too technical, it takes 24-48 hours for each of your internet service providers (ISPs) to be made aware of the types of changes that will be made to C6VR's website. So we ask that you simply continue to check back throughout the weekend to see if you can get to C6VR's website. If you can, you're on the new server! We do expect that the site will be down from at least 6pm ET tonight until Noon ET Sunday - However, it may be longer and it may be shorter.
For those of you that use an @C6VeteRegistry.com email address, you should not experience any disruption in service, however you will need to login via the direct URL: https://www.google.com/a/VetteRegistry.net until C6VR's website is back up.
Please bear with us as we work to make C6VR's website a faster, more reliable site for you!
Thank you for your patience and support during the transition!
