C3VR Member Gathering 9/13-9/14/03 in Hershey, PA

I would kinda think this would be convienient or those coming from Phila area, N.E. Pa. ( drop down the N.E. extension and pick up the turnpike ) and from New Jersey also. If you already have your hands full, I will volunteer to co-ordinate time and place. Your thoughts???

I'm really not sure.

This past week I was talking to some of the locals. So far we are looking at a couple meeting places and times. We would like to set up meetings on the evening of the 12th at Valley Forge exchange of the Pa turnpike, Downingtown exchange ( Rte 100 ) and the first rest area past the Morgantown exchange ( I will post the name of it in a day or so ). We would also like to set up times say 6:30-6:45 (depart time ), 7:00-7:15 ( depart time ), etc. We will most likely remain at the rest stop for about 15 minutes or so. That way cars and drivers can do a pit stop. We will firm this up over the next week. We will try to coordinate meeting and departure times to get to the hotel between 8:45 and 9:00 p.m. bases on the time from the rest stop to the hotel. Joe B., you should be able to figure that out from your turnpike map ( I hope ).

Anyone who is going to Hershey may want to call the hotel and double check their reservation. I just called to add a night to our stay and they had no information on us at all and my husband gave it all to them around the 13 of July! Be sure to have your confirmation number. According to Kimberly at the Econo Lodge I am all set now. I would hate to have driven 5 hours only to find I had no room!

I just called them, they have my registration. Thanks for the heads up though.

Tom/Bcliff - glad you're coming. I'm anxious to see your '71 live & in person. I assume you'll have it in the parade?!?!

Yes, I will be in the parade. I am looking forward to checking your car out also. I don't see many 71 big blocks at shows anymore. Where have they all gone?????

Just got the final parade packet & I see we're in the same group #197! Three '71 454's & a '72!
My friend Dave has the third '71 -- a white 454. I'll have my 2 sons with me -- one in my car & one in Dave's. We thought we'd bring a pair of US flags for the boys to wave.

By the way - I see we have an 80 member Bolivian dance group in front of us and a 175 member PA High School marching band behind us!
