C3VR Member Gathering - Hershey, PA

WHEN: Saturday & Sunday - September 13 & 14th 2003

WHAT:
This gathering is meant to be simply a fun time with fellow C3VR Members.
This is an informal event.
This is not a "show".
You are encouraged to bring your Vette, but are not required to.
You can bring yourself, you can bring your significant other, you can bring your kids.

EVENTS:
FRIDAY 9/12:
* 3:00pm - Hotel Check-In start time for Friday Night Stay
* 9:00pmish - Friday night arrivals meet for a nightcap. (location TBA)

SATURDAY 9/13:
* 7:00am - Breakfast for members that arrive Friday night or early Saturday (At Hotel)
* 8:30am - Line up for the "Centennial Celebration" Parade
* 8:30am - Non-Parade Participant can come to the parade as spectators or enjoy the day exploring Hershey
* 11:00am - Hotel Check-Out time if not staying Saturday Night
* 12:00pm - Parade Begins (see PARADE Info Below)
* 1:00pm - Televised portion of parade begins
* 3:00pm - Hotel Check-In start time for Saturday Night Stay
* 4:30pm - Parade Ends (time tentative)
* 6:30pm - BBQ Dinner @ Parking Lot of Hotel

SUNDAY 9/14:
* 9:00am - Buffet Breakfast at LEBBIE LEBKICHER'S
* 11:00am - Hotel Check-Out time
* 11:00am - After breakfast Things-to-Do have yet to be deterimed

PARADE INFO:
C3VR Members have been invited to participate in the parade!
They actually need cars from ALL years, so if you happen to have a non-C3 Vette, you can choose to bring it instead. The parade is scheduled to last a few hours and will be broadcast on local television!

Please reply to this thread if you are interested in participating in the parade! You will need to fill out a "Parade Application" by June. So please make your decision by May!

All rooms have 2 Double Beds
40 rooms have been blocked
-- 28 Rooms are Non-Smoking
-- 12 Rooms are Smoking
Price is $76.49 per night for up to 4 people. (This is the lowest price I could find. Others are charging $99 to $160 that weekend!)

To Book Your Room: You Must email Adam at adam@VetteRegistry.net to request a confirmation number. When contacting Adam, make sure to specify if you want a Non-Smoking Room, also which night you are arriving (Friday or Saturday) and how many nights you need the room! You will then need to call the hotel and give them your confirmation number and credit card to hold the room. You will be able to cancel your reservation without penalty up to 48 hours before your arrival date. You MUST claim your room by 8/13/2003! After that date, the unclaimed rooms will have to be released!

50 people responded to the location survey with "Hershey, PA" as their choice. So I hope most of those 50 people plan to attend! If you plan to attend the gathering, please reply to this thread so we can start to get an idea of how many members are coming!

Count me in too. Since you're asking for Vettes from other years, I'll either bring my Blue 93 coupe or my 2000 Millennium Yellow with Torch Red interior convertible (one of only eight built) depending on the weather. Keep us posted on any hotel deals in that area that can be arranged!

I hope to be there with my '70 coupe that has just had the suspension and drivetrain restored. I haven't even driven it yet because I've been deployed overseas since January. Hope to be back home by then. Keep your fingers crossed for me. BTW, can't find any Vette parts in Afghanistan!
