(Uh, I think I posted this somewhere else too, DOH!)
Hey people,
At first I thought it was getting spam, now I'm getting excited! Actually Mr.Vette, I don't have my vette yet. I'm looking at 69-72, coupe or convert. I want a big block or an LT1 with a standard trans. Number's correct, restored or in very good condition. Looking to spend $16-$20k. In a perfect world I'll find a 1970 Cortez Silver Coupe with LT1, 4-spd and 50 k miles for under $20K. Okay, so that might not be realistic but I'll get as close as I can.
Right now my toy is a motorcycle 2000 Suzuki Hayabusa (know what that is?) Anyway, I'm 36, my wife's pregnant and I can finally afford to get a nice Vette so I'm starting the search. I just logged on here so I could read the forums (educate myself from you fine people's comments) and whala! I win a T-Shirt.
I plan to read as much as I can so I don't hassle you folks with simple redundant questions. I picked up the Standard Catalog of Corvette by John Gunnell and that's got lots of info.
I'm in Phx.
Thanks again Adam, looking forward to getting the shirt..............
