It's time to start thinking f'reals about Carlisle. Does anybody have any thoughts about where to stay, and where not to stay, in Carlisle?
Last year my wife and I stayed outside of town in a lovely log cabin in the woods. It was quiet, peaceful, and a bit too far away. We'd like to be closer this year.
What are your thoughts?

There are a lot of places on Rt11. I have a room at Motel 6 not far away but it's pretty basic. You should still be able to find a room but I wouldn't wait much longer.

Thanks, gtr1999. We booked a room across the street. You're right, they're getting scarce. And, expensive!

We stay at a campground 20-25 minutes from the fairgrounds. Been our "Home" base for 10 yrs now. I don't mind the trek - gets us out of the thick of things and away from the traffic.
