Vette(s): 1978 Silver Anniversary L82 4spd (M21) Red Leather. Pace Car is in the hands of a new caretaker.
Just got home and read this. We left Sat. about 1:00pm. Had no idea what happened until I read this. Just rain in the night at the campground we stopped at off I84. Hope everyone is OK. Hope this doesn't have a negative effect on the outcome of future events.

Vette(s): Silver 1974 Convertible - L82 4 speed Low miles (was only 8,900 when I bought it in March 2006) - Now 54K miles. Original owner bought it as an investment for son's college expenses. 2008 Jetstream Blue Convertible
Glad everybody is safe and well.  It's a shame that things wrapped up early.  Last year, I just happened to see the C3VR tent on Sunday (it was pretty slow and wet last year too), otherwise I wouldn't even know about this place!

I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!

Got home about an hour ago. Good driving weather and no mishaps.
Like Hmel '74, I was in the parade also when it hit. It came up real fast, with strong winds knocking down trees and wires. Downtown Carlisle had no power. Streets were flooded for a short time. As the pictures show, lots of hit and miss damage at the fairgrounds. Some big tents were destroyed while smaller tents within 50 feet were untouched.
A pop-up trailer had the top half bent and pushed down.
I don't believe any C3VR members got hurt or had any car damage.
Many vendors pulled out Saturday night and Sunday morning, but the show went on. Fortunately, no more rain or winds. It actually turned out to be the best day, weatherwise.
I will upload some pics shortly.

Glad everyone is okay. You can always buy new tents. What a freak storm that sounds like.   Butch

Vette(s): 1974, 454 with 4 on the floor, matching numbers.
I was in Hersey PA when the storm came through there. I can assure you it was scary. The storm lasted about a 1/2 hour, but the worse part only lasted about 10 min.
A few trees went down and some places lost power less than a 1 mile north of Hersey.  The local news did mention some reports of tornado's. I'm glad to here that Adam made it OK, and hope no one was seriously injured.
No matter how much damage was sustained, it can all be repaired or replaced.

This is old now, but it shows some actual video of the rain and wind.

Thanks for your video & update Dave! Looks like the metal framed canopies really took it on the chin during these storms.

Hopefully this won't have an adverse effect on future shows and those who were injured will recover quickly.
