Vette(s): Used to own a 1979 Corvette now owned by JB79
I had put up a C3 Vette Registry banner in the 78s Reunion Winners tent
at Carlisle this past weekend (set it up Thursday night).
When I went by there around 1pm Sunday, it was still there. I had actually considered taking it with me at that point, but I thought, no one will take it.
I was wrong! When I returned at 4:30pm it was gone!
I have already checked with Lance and he has checked with the Carlisle ground crew. They do not have it.
I have already checked with the 4 contest winners that were under the 78s tent. They did not take it.
If you are reading this post and have it, please return it to me. I don't care who took it. I just want it back. Send it from a post office that isn't near you if you want to be anonymous about it... doesn't matter, just send it back. The thing cost me $300 and is a piece of C3 Vette Registry history. It was hung at the NCM for 1 year.
C3VR's mailing address is PO Box 202, Eagleville, PA 19408.
If you didn't take it, but may know who did, please PM me!
Thank you.

Adam,
I really hope someone only took this to secure it for you and not intentionally for themselves!!
Only a @#$%^ would steal it!! If it comes down to it, I will donate to replace it for you!!

This sux Adam
. I too hope it turns up. What on earth would someone who's not connected to our site want the banner for.

I agree with Paul. If it needs replace it wouldn't take much of a donation if we all pitch in.

I would have to think if it was taken just so it wouldn't get stolen, the taker would have contacted Adam by now, one way or another....
Seems to be a problem at these larger shows...people see something, and just assume it's theirs for the taking...

Darn, that truly sucks! I really wouldn't think that a member would steal it. One way or another.........things will work out. Keep the faith!

K
That STINKS!
I'm all for being optimistic a little while longer. Then, if it doesn't turn up we can all pitch in and get a new one (as mentioned before).
