2006 MAM Funfest - Who’s going to be ther

Larry, so sorry to hear about both of your grandparents.  I lost both of my parents last year and it still smarts once in awhile.  Take some time off, do what you have to do for your family (and yourself), and we'll see you when we see you.

Its looking like a beautiful weekend again for Funfest!

Just a small peek at last year for those of you that didn't make it. And they were still coming in for hours after. The arrow is pointing to my 77. Just past the last  field of cars at the last entrance is going to be club parking for this year.

Friday is the magic day !  Then its 3 days of Corvettes followed by two weeks of working on Corvettes followed by Eureka Springs Corvette weekend. At this point I will give it a rest for the season. Other than a few local events and cruises, I am done this year. The energy and the cash for this year went poof. Next year though is a different story. I found something that perked my interest  maybe for 2007.

As  soon as the wife gets back from her doctors appointment we are hittin the road, I think she knows to hurry cause I was sitting in the vette making VROOM VROOM sounds with the windows down and my left arm hangin out when she was pulling out of the garage.

Hope everyone had a safe, uneventful trip home.  After getting all loaded up and "The Toy" fastened down on the trailer I ended up pulling out and heading north about 2:30 Sunday afternoon.  It was 92 degrees according to the themometer in the truck.  As I swung west at Champaign, IL the wind switched from the south to the west (a tail wind to a head wind) and the outside temperature began to drop.  Drove through occasional showers until north of Madison, WI.

It was a tough hour Jim, but I struggled through it.
