My wife and I are going. We will be staying at the Comfort Suites. Arriving on Friday & leaving Sunday. I told Norsky I would help out in the booth during the show as well.

I will be parking with the Corvette Action Center group this year in club parking. I was at Mid America last week , its going to be a little different this year and sounds awesome !

We parked in club parking last year & that was GREAT! Gave us VIP access to and from the show. This was especially good after the Beach Boys Concert!

We will be there also. 70oneconv and I think 78sevette will be with us. I told Norskey I'll help out in the booth too. Can't wait till then. See ya all there.

 

I am hoping to go on the 16th. I'm not sure what the calendar is looking like. I need to pick up some parts so I will drive my truck there so I can haul them back. It'll be kind of hard to bring back a front and rear bumper, leave springs, seat backs, e-brake console, carpeting etc. Besides, I should be saving some money on shipping.

Lets see....15,000 Corvettes, maybe two people in each Vette . Metal cars coming too..   You had better get there really early !

I moved this thread to the National & International events forum because it really is an international event (it just happens to be held in the Midwest Region). 

I started a thread back in January (MAM FunFest - 2006) about the event and will be setting up a couple more in the near future to get names and contact info about who will be attending and who can help man the C3VR tent.

Hope to see as many C3VR members as possible while there.  btw - the closest room I could book was in Mattoon which is about 30 miles north of Effingham.

Its hard to find a room  near by if you have never been . Keep calling the hotels and check for cancellations . Once you get in one then you can reserve it each year thereafter. We got ours because of the hurricanes two years ago and several people canceled, now we are preferred guests because we stayed the year before. Makes me wonder about those poor folks that canceled, where are they staying now?

It is well worth the effort to be there !
