I'm sure a few members will trailer their Vette to the gathering, which of course is another option. If I had an early C3 or a low milage C3, I would consider doing that. Because my '82 is comfortable to drive and gets decent gas milage, I don't have any quams about driving it cross-country.

I will have an empty seat if anyone wants to join me.

We are going to drive the vette.   Good gas mileage as Dave said and it's cool to do a long drive in it.

We will be driving the vette as long as the few issues are completed, (Rear end, Trans, rebuild steering, possible interior) the only issue I see is the shop space as we live in a condo and they get a little pi$$ed off if I even wax the cars in the parkade. Oh well get as much completed and off we go. Talked with Terry and we will be joining up with him from the dock and away we go ARE WE THERE YET, HUH ARE WE.    Going to have to stick with 1BADLT1 as he knows were the gas stations are and my mileage is not the greatest either.

Mark I haven't forgot about you. I PM Terry about both you and Larry for this trip. I am all ready getting excited about this trip. Even though the I am still saddle sore from the 6300 mi I just went.

I now need to go replace my A/C hose now. On my way to Redmond this morning I looked in my mirror and saw a puff of smoke while doing 75 mph. I thought oh sh**, did I just blow my motor. So I jumped off the freeway and opened the hood. Found a bunch of oil sprayed around on the right side. So I picked up a couple of qts of oil thinking it was a leaking gasket and headed the 90 miles home.  Turned out to be the line between the A/C compressor and the evaporator. Darn I just got it working this spring. Its about the only system I havn't gone through yet.

I think driven a vette is the only way ta go! My wife and I are waitin for a call from the dealer on Monday ta see if the owner is gonna accept my offer on this car:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=22001 3324 081&sspagename=ADME:B:RTQ:US:1

Sorry, I haven't learned the art of pasteing the link correctly. But, y'all can copy an paste it an view the pic.
I have been away on business for a week and they called yesterday and tried ta haggle with me (I love that ). I gave them my "the earth is a big place and this ain't the only vette with rubber on the road speach". They are now tryin ta regroup with the owner. Will see...
We want ta drive Tux... but that's a long ride for all of us!

(fixing the link to make it clickable resulted in the following message from eBay so I left the link as it was - Norsky)
