Larry,

Thanks for the offer

I don't think I will be able to make that long of a trip either. My vacation time is all ready getting booked up. I will be off for 2-1/2 weeks starting this weekend (bonding time with the vette if I have it my way). End of June I will be taking the family to the Washington coast for a week of vacation. I will also be going for a week in January or February with a group of guys to rehab a facility in Baton Rouge. It will be used to help the displaced people from Katrina find work, receive job training and receive counseling if needed.

I will however drive the 3-1/2 hours to meet up with you and Mark. Maybe a few other C3VR's will show too.

Hey, I smell a gathering brewing.

Hey all, this could be interesting, and fun.I have sent out emails all along the path from state to state that we would drive looking for Corvettes to hook up with us on our journey to somewhere on the East Coast for the 2006 C3VR Meet. Some of  you have replied and some are still contemplating the road trip. Once we know the month and date it will be easier to say if you can go or not. The most important thing is to VOTE for a city if you are considering the trip, the least distance to travel will be Indianapolis IN. I will continue to gather a convoy of Corvettes for the long haul across the USA...Terry

Vette(s): 1975 C3 Red, T-Tops, Black Interior. All I need is time and money! Getting there!

It's just over 300 miles from Indy to my place.

I can find a place that will alllow several Corvettes.  We can make it a meeting place.  Barely north of Akron,  30 miles south of Cleveland.

If there are only a few, I can find places on my couch, recliner etc.

I will be happy to make arrangements for some type of meeting, gathering etc.   Myabe I can come up with a sponser. I just need a calendar date.

Well, it sure looks like Pigeon Forge wins by a landslide? Davy Crockett here we come.. We just need to know when the meet will take place so vacations can be requested. Vehicles need to be prepared for shipment and road readied. I for one need all the time I can get. Everything in my vehicle is new and has not been on the road yet. I would like to drive it once before the trip....Terry

I won't be making the trip but I think we can all get together when your car comes out of the container.  We'll have to follow up when they announce the date of the meet and see who is available.

Sorry you two can't make it? (Mark and Mark) There will be other times for a long haul road trip. I will have a few days before the trip East and we will meet to break bread and have a brew-ski. Iron82, Mike Gross, is driving West to Portland to see his Brother, we will meet up for the long haul to PIGEON FORGE, my goal to get some Davy Crockett memorabilia? A coonskin cap? I'll keep in touch as this  trip develops. I'm still trying to make contact with other C3 owners who want to make the trip with other Corvettes.. I'll keep you all posted..Terry

With the new destination looking good for Pigeon Forge a good number of us from the midwest will be heading to that gathering - by the way what weekend is it?  When you get anywhere near to Michigan give a shout and we'll hook up with you!

Ken, Great news..  Us trekking East will end up on interstate 24 East to Nashville then Interstate 40 to Knoxville on in to PIGEON FORGE. Before we start I will get cell phone numbers and I will email the route plans and times we will be at each location crossing from West to East. It sure would be nice to drive in to PIGEON FORGE with 5 miles of Corvettes in tow...Terry

PS. I will be driving the green one..hehe
