A new Edelbrock intake manifold to go with the new carb.  Nothin' wrong with the original (kept it). Hopefully I will get better gas milage for the drive to PF (can't wait, can't wait).  Now I barely tap the gas pedal and the Gold Thing lurches like it's got a monster under the hood.  It's scary now.  Got to get used to it before PF.

Now it's gonna get better gas milage with that extra poop??

Sounds good. I'm still trying to find a good block and heads to build up before PF. May end up limping in on the original. Running out of time.

Vette(s): 1975 C3 Red, T-Tops, Black Interior. All I need is time and money! Getting there!

Mick, the mileage is unknown.  Sometimes performance drops mileage, but sometimes due to the fact you don't need to push the gas pedal as far to do the same thing, mileage can increase.

Increase is always the less likely of the two.  But the way yours was running, it might work to your benefit.   Now you just need to do some test runs and find out.    So take a test run to Ohio, and bring some of those brownies Joel was talking about!

Dwain - you will make it!!  I have the original in mine (66,000 miles)too.  With Joel, Bryan, myself and I think a couple of other's from the forum will be more than happy to help ya if something breaks.  I bet your gettin' excited about PF, huh?

Ken-Thanks for the info.  I was gonna that it out for a freeway spin after I wash it to get any "kinks" out before PF.  I do make some homemade from scratch brownies.  Guanteed to pack on some pounds from the real butter I use to make them.  Can't forget to add pecans or walnuts.....ok, now I'm hungry.......is it time for the BBQ in PF???
