Thank you all for ensuring that Mr. Wright got the message.  I would love to be out there with you guys (and gals).  I did drive a charger up Pikes Peak about 3 years ago.  I followed sone one most of the way down that just RODE THEIR BRAKES.  They did not down shift.  Quite the smell at the bottom.  Two words DOWN SHIFT!!!!!!! 
Warning: The surgeon general has declared that it is NOT unhealthy to smoke your competition AND I just discovered that my corvette is a hybred.  It burns gas and rubber!

I hope you guys all have a great time.  If any of you stay in the area after the meet, the Avanti Owners Association and the Studebaker Drivers Club are having their international meets at the Colorado Springs Crowne Plaza Hotel starting Sunday the 30th.  You'll see some great cars with some great car people there.

Too bad I'm unable to be there...I could've taken in both shows with groups I belong to.  It would have great to bring my Corvette and one of the Avantis along.

Vette(s): My Corvettes are a 1978 L-82 Coupe with an automatic transmission. It has a Silver Anniversary paint scheme with an Oyster interior. I also have a 2003 Electron Blue convertible, Milestone Edition with an LS-1 and a six speed transmission.
I had a great time. Thanks to everyone. The trip up Pike's Peak was the highlight.
