Terry,

That sounds about right.   Just make sure Joel's caravan shows up around the time we need him.

We'll be there when we get there. Right now, our plans will have us poking into Nashville no later than 5pm.

StingrayJim's business travels take him to the Knoxville area fairly often so maybe on one of his next treks there he could be bribed into wandering over to the PF area to do a little advanced scouting.  I have to believe there's a truck stop, large gas station, or a Walmart type store right by the I-81/I-40/Hwy 66 interchange in Sevierville that wouldn't mind an imprompt-to car show while caravans converge.

Vette(s): 1981, Black/Black, Engine bumped to about 400HP.Ext/int mostly stock.

I agree that the best place to meet up will be Sevierville, just off the I-40 exit on Hwy 66.  I know there is a Best Western hotel right off the exit, going in the desired south direction.  Another option is to meet in the Parking Lot of the Muscle Car Museum, which is on Hwy 66 nine miles south of I-40... just a little further down the road toward Pigeon Forge.  I think the most difficult thing is going to be figuring out how many caravans we have and when each is due to arrive.  Adam, unless someone has a better idea, how about creating a thread where each coordinator of a caravan could post a message containing:

The name of their caravan (direction you're coming from) as the title

Details of the route you'll take

DATE and approximate times they will pass thru major cities

And a link to the thread for your caravan where others can "sign-up" for the caravan.

If we could police that thread and keep it to just that purpose (delete any entries saying "Hey, I'll join this caravan", I think that would go a long way toward making this a little easier for everyone to understand.

The Northeast group (me & Movie Collector so far) will most likely get to PF around 3-4pm on the 22nd. But there's no reason we can't hop in our cars and drive back up to I40 at 7pm or whenever and meet up with you guys.

Why would the Texas caravn to Nashville? I recommend caravn to Knoxville if possible. Any body travel I-59 N.or I-20 E pass thru Birmingham Alabama.   Frederick.
